Code 0 is a sail that can be used both in rating system regattas, ORC and IRC, and in Open regattas. Code 0 provides the best performance for upwind angles between 45 ° and 55 °.
For ORC 2020 rules, in order not to be classified as Headsail, the SHW, that is the width in the middle of the sail, must be greater than 75% of the length of the foot.
The new rules of the ORC system have changed the influence of this sail on the GPH of the boat and therefore it will be much more important than in the past to correctly analyze the influence of this sail depending on the type of boat and the type of regattas scheduled to participate.
